At right, the 1995-96 Stingers’ women’s team who were among those honoured at the Sept. 25 at the Concordia University Sports Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony and Banquet at Montreal’s Molson Brewery.

Lisa Jordan, BSc 96, who represented the 1995-96 Stingers women’s hockey team at the podium, now serves as head coach of the women’s hockey team at St. Mary’s University in Halifax. Lisa’s twin sister, Lesley Jordan, BSc 96, also played on the 1995-96 Stingers squad and is the women’s hockey head coach at Dalhousie University in Halifax.

Also honoured were Rocco Romano, BA 88, a dominating offensive lineman for the Concordia Stingers football team from 1983 to 1986, Sir George Williams University soccer star Gerald Stachrowski, BA 63, Concordia women’s hockey standout Cammi Granato, attendee 97 and the the 1962-63 Sir George Williams men’s soccer team.

Concordia President Judith Woodsworth and Recreation and Athletics Director Katie Sheahan, BA 78, also addressed the audience and praised the inductees for proudly representing the university nationally and internationally.
