Stingers win decisive victory

Concordia quarterback Rob Mackay (left) had his best outing as a Stinger in last Saturday’s 37-0 win over the St. Francis-Xavier X-Men at Concordia. The second-year pivot split time with 2005 All-Canadian Scott Syvret at the helm of the offence, and threw two of the three touchdown passes caught by receiver Nick Scissons.

The football team is undefeated at 3-0 and tied for sixth place in the country. Their next home game is the Shrine Bowl / Shaughnessy Cup in this season’s only meeting with McGill. That’s on Oct. 7 at 1 p.m.
