Emergency number on campus has changed to 3717

There has been a change to the way to call Security for assistance.

All emergency calls should be made to 3717. The emergency number 811 should no longer be used, although it will be maintained as long as possible.

When you call Security at 3717 you will be prompted to press 1 for an emergency or 2 for a non-emergency. Pressing any other number or not pressing anything will result in your call being classified as an emergency.

Both emergency and non-emergency calls are answered at the same location, but the emergency calls are diverted to a series of lines reserved for emergencies only. This allows dispatchers to identify and prioritize emergency calls.
