In Memoriam: Brent K. Hussey

Concordians are saddened to hear of the passing of Brent K. Hussey on Jan. 6.

A lawyer by trade, Hussey recognized the value of giving back to the community: In 2007, he regularly put time aside to act as Supervising Attorney at the Legal Information Clinic offered through Advocacy and Support Services. The clinic provided free legal information to Concordians from law students at McGill, Hussey’s alma mater, until the clinic’s closure in 2009. Hussey also coached soccer and was involved in local politics and the scouting movement in the West Island.

He leaves behind his wife, Eileen, and his three children, Kevin, Kathleen and Graham. He will be dearly missed by extended family and fondly remembered by friends and associates. A funeral was held on Jan. 11 at the Church of the Resurrection in Pointe Claire.

Donations in his name may be made to the Kidney Foundation of Canada.
