Figment

Magnifying glass

More than 140 people joined cellist Matt Haimovitz at eXcentris on Nov. 7 to see his music visually interpreted by Concordia’s Topological Media Lab. Developed specifically for Haimovitz, TML research assistants developed a real-time video system able to respond to movement and volume and transform them into visual projections. In essence, Haimovitz was playing the screen. He and TML debuted the show in New York for the October launch of his album, Figment. Haimovitz continues his tour in North America and Europe through November.
